iPhone Travels: The Old Blue Last

This old Victorian boozer on the busy junction of Curtain Road and Great Eastern Street is somewhat of a favourite for cool, young music types. The pub is run by the guys of VICE, where bands and live DJs play every night of the week. The external artwork of cuddly angry animals is a recent incarnation.

Lacoste - Zaha Hadid

Zaha Hadid tries her hand at footwear design in collaboration with sports brand Lacoste. The architect's designs will be on sale in limited editions of only 850 pairs.

“The design expression behind the collaboration with Lacoste footwear allows the evolution of dynamic fluid grids. When wrapped around the shape of a foot, these expand and contract to negotiate and adapt to the body ergonomically. In doing so a landscape emerges, undulating and radiating as it merges seamlessly with the body."

Recycling Dress

Remember the days when your fountain pen leaked inside of your shirt pocket? Well designer Fernando Brizio has invented a dress using the same principle. Coloured felt-pens are inserted into the pockets of the dress where the ink is allowed to bleed into the cloth to create circular patterns. When you get bored wash it out and start all over again. Brilliant!
