This short film created by the French animation collective H5, François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy and Ludovic Houplain depicts a world where branding is king. It was presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2009 and opened the 2010 Sundance Film Festival where it won the academy award for Best Short Film.

Japanese Manhole Love
Drain covers aren't the most obvious places to look for beauty. But the Japanese have an uncanny knack of beautifying even the most mundane of urban objects. And to celebrate this most unusual of art forms is photographer Remo Camerota with 'Drainspotting' published by Mark Batty Publisher (Manholes and Batty, you couldn't make it up!).
