I'm a Photographer, not a Terrorist!

I'm a Photographer, not a Terrorist! is an organisation setting out to help photographers in Britain understand their legal rights and provide a universal voice against the erosion of not just press freedom, but an individual's right to carry a camera and take photos.

The introduction of a new law, Section 76 of the Counter Terrorism Act, meant that anyone taking a photograph of a police officer could be committing an offense, and therefore subjected to a possible stop and search. The web site provides useful information such as the 'Bust Card' which outlines the rights and police powers under Section 44 of the Terrorism Act 2000, as well as a map showing restricted access for photographers in Britain.
